Not Your Grandpa’s Cigar Club: The Napoleon Opens in Scottsdale January 2011
Friday, 24 December 2010 14:55

Upscale luxury lounge to feature full bar, cigar vault, billiards room, state-of-the-art air filtration system and exclusive memberships

(SCOTTSDALE , Ariz.) – Cigars are a symbol of celebration, class, style, romance and exclusivity. All of which are facets of the 5,000 square foot indoor/outdoor upscale luxury lounge and cigar club opening in the Mix Shops in Old Town Scottsdale (in the previous upper level space of The Estate House) in January 2011. As the first and only exclusive high end cigar club of its kind to open in Arizona that also provides drinking, The Napoleon will boast a full bar with wine and spirits, a state-of-the-art air filtration system, a cigar vault with both individual and shared cigar lockers, a Members Only billiards room, as well as tiered memberships.

“Previously New York and Miami upheld the pillars of cigar clubs in the U.S. with The Grand Havana Room, Club Macanudo and the Havana Club, and I saw a need for something similar in this market,” said Napoleon Smith III, owner of The Napoleon. “While our atmosphere will reflect a similar upscale style, we will set ourselves apart by being the only place to smoke and drink indoors in Arizona, along with our memberships, cigar vault and state-of-the-art air filtration system – the only of its kind in the U.S.”

A first for Scottsdale, The Napoleon will be the only space to offer indoor smoking, alongside a luxurious space for members to relax, imbibe and network with like-minded cigar aficionados. A space for men and women, young and old, the club will also feature specialty cigars, with espresso and other various flavors that will be infused in-house.

“We are not only offering a venue and service unlike any other in Arizona, but an experience unlike any other,” said General Manager Scott Von. Previously an integral part of operations for such brands as Mastro’s in Beverly Hills, Morton’s and the Ritz Carlton, Von’s expertise helped shaped the experience that The Napoleon will be offering come January. “There are so many different venues, clubs and lounges in Scottsdale but none that offer smoking and drinking in an upscale indoor environment, and in a style that caters to both men and women.”

Memberships range from $100 - $350 per month with the Associate membership being $100 upfront and $100 per month without a locker program and the Individual membership is a $500 sign-up fee followed by $200/mth fee with a limited edition Lamborghini gift set, exclusive to Napoleon members. Corporate memberships are also available for $500 up front and $350 per month, which also include a large locker program and Lamborghini gift set.

Based on current pre-sales, even though the doors won’t open until January 2011, The Napoleon expects to be sold out and beginning a waiting list by the first of the year. MEMBERSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE NOW and can be purchased by visiting www.TheNapoleonClub.com
