9pm last Friday night, the Arizona Liquor Board payed a not so quiet visit to Whisper Lounge. With guests already at the bar and the staff setting up for a potentially busy night, the Liquor Board put a hault on all alcohol sales.
Apparently Whisper Lounge had let their temporary Liquor License expire, by over 2 weeks, which is a big no-no! C'mon, liquor licenses are what keep average Joes from selling beers out of their cars. So how could a club owner let that happen?
The staff was caught completely off guard, but that was what the owners wanted. Sources have told ReverseHappyHour.com that Whisper Lounge is going close for a few months and re-open under a new name with new management and a new staff.
Perhaps this time a little promoting might be in order.
